Last Thursday, Tim and I and Ashley went to get a 3D ultrasound of Marley! We were so excited to see out little baby’s face! We get there and start the process and there she was!!!! Her little smashed face!!! Yup! Her face was smashed up against my uterus! Her head was located in the lower right side of my stomach with her legs up by my ribs. (yah, super comfortable! just kidding!) but her sweet little face although cute, resembled how you would look if you put your face up against the window and pushed! So she did look a little…shall we say….weird! ha! (Tim thought she reminded him of the movie Mask, you know with Cher! haha! Yikes!) BUT… I do have to say, she is precious! We had the ultrasound for about 15 minutes and pretty much the whole time she was smiling!!!!! She had my heart just then! She yawned twice and pouted once after the second yawn, but went right to smiling in seconds! A few times she would move her arm up near her face like she was going to get comfy and go to sleep. It was the cutest thing! So, these 3D things are pretty expensive but the good thing is if your baby isn’t in a good spot for pictures, you get to come back every week for one month to keep trying until you get good pictures. After 5 minutes of trying to get a good look, they even let me walk around for 5 minutes and drink some juice but she still didn’t move. So we get to go back this Thursday and try again. Hopefully she will move so her little face isn’t all distorted. So as soon as we get good pictures, I will post them for you to see! Aside from that, all is good! I feel pretty good. Its weird having a big belly. Simple things are getting hard to do like paint my toenails or put on socks! I forget I’m bigger and try to do quick movements like bend down to get something and realize, I’m not as small and quick as I used to be! Kinda strange. But we are all doing good. We got a new car this weekend, because our truck wouldn’t hold a carseat. So we now have a new beautiful Camry and I love it! Keep you posted….
Miss Marley feels the love already! February 11, 2008
Last week “Grandmommy” took me shopping and she bought Marley her first pair of flip-flops! And a really cute outfit to go along with them! As well as 3 stuffed animals! (I got a few items too!) Then Auntie and our friend Shawna bring Marley a new outfit every time they go to Target! She got two adorable outfits from them on Friday! THEN….her other grandmother who we are gonna call “Grammy” gave me a gift bag FULL of outfits and burping clothes and bibs she has been collecting over the last couple of months! Even outfits all the way from London! It was great! I even had one client on saturday bring her a set of adorable ballerina slippers socks and the another client made her a precious quilt! She is not even here and her one drawer I have for her so far is so filled with so many treats!!!! From little presents and outfits to sweet comments on this blog, she is already feeling so loved and lucky to have so many people sweet people in her life even before she’s born! I will read her all the sweet comments people leave us on this blog when she is here. From this website, a year from now, I will be printing her a book of this blog! Cool huh!?Love to everyone! Thank you!
Eeeeeeeeek! Sorry Miss Marley! February 8, 2008
Yesterday I didn’t really feel Marley move at all and I was freaking out a little. She is always moving around and hiccuping and just super active all throughout the day and night. I know she was probably just sleeping but I just wanted her to show me a few moves to calm my nerves. I drank cold juice, warm tea, pepsi….anything to try to get her to move her booty! But nothing. So I went online and read ideas of what I could do. One blog said to hold a flashlight to your belly and give it a few minutes and they will usually kick toward the light. So the only light we have is a huge mag light, but I thought it would work. So I turned off all the lights and put the light on my belly and before it even touched my belly, BOOOOOM! She kicked so stinkin’ hard!!!!!! Right on the light! I did it once more and BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! She kicked even harder! I stopped because I felt so bad like I blinded her or something! She was obviously not fond of this light! Even after I removed the light, BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!!!!!!! She wouldn’t stop! Marley was not a happy girl. I totally startled her! I felt sooooo bad! I hope she isn’t blind because I did that! I wanted to cry. I really felt awful….but the good new is…..she is obviously fine! haha! She was just being lazy like her mama and sleeping the day away! I won’t do that again….especially with a mag light! eeeeeeek! Sorry Miss Marley.
